D-sines are different than grafix. D-sines are to show alterations of grafix, page layout or other forms of layout I am proud of. It will take time to fill this page out, but I will do it eventually.
This is a comic book I wrote and designed a few decades ago. I always thought it would be super cool to be part of creating a comic and in amongst the explosion of apps when the app store first took of was a comic book making app. While it seems that ComicLife was more focused on consumer needs, at one point this felt like an app that would be used by all kinds of independent comic artists.
I had really just wanted to get through the first one, kind of a trend in my life. But, it gave me some basics in page layout and design, and gave me a chance to show off my then girlfriend. Not saying it’s svery interesting, Just putting it out there for fun.
You can download the “comic” by clicking on the image to the side. You are welcome to read it, but please don’t distribute any further as I may need the rights to do that at some point. All viewpoints conatined therein are strictly from my former self and can not be expected to be taken seriously any further.
The second time around; I kept the same formula, featured the current girlfriend, and tried to be a little more sophisticated. Mostly I was irritated I was wearing the discount fleece from TJMaxxx and felt the need to change that image. Always hated how that fleece looked, but loved the comfort. Hideous, but comfortable. I’m not sure if it shows or not, but I really don’t want to go back and re-read these two comics. They’re self-indulgent and whiny and I get irritated by them. Mostly just because I was ever there. Makes me feel bad for my former self, but kind of proud of how far I’ve come, so it’s nice to be able to see that kind of growth.
So, again, you can download the ePub and read the comic if you like, but please don’t distribute without written permission from jkhinzman and/or 30Percent Studios. It’s a small outfit, but that just means we’ll be slow to get back to you.
